Karantoni Maria
Principal, KPMG Cyprus
Maria holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Economics from the City University in London. She has obtained her professional qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2001 and is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus since 2002.
Maria has been working in the Audit Department of KPMG since 2001 and currently holds the position of Principal. Her portfolio of clients includes companies from the oil and gas, trading and computer industries. Main clients are Logicom Public Ltd and the Niko group of companies.
Maria has extensive practical experience on IFRSs and has attended numerous IFRS courses organized by KPMG International. She has also delivered IFRS courses to KPMG staff and clients covering annual IFRS updates as well as specific standards. She is also a member of the KPMG Cyprus IFRS desk which provides support and advice on IFRS technical matters to both clients and staff.
